Scholarships to attend summer school in Political Economy of Education

The Education Support Program of the Open Society Foundations and the Central European University are offering a summer school, “Towards a Political Economy of Education” that will take place on July 9–13, 2012 in Budapest, Hungary.

The summer school will run two concurrent streams.

  • Regionalisation, Globalisation and Privatization in Education
  • Innovative Financing Mechanisms for Quality Education.

The course aims to bring together original, internationally renowned academics at the top of their field, state-of-the-art research, and original web-based resources into critical debates on education financing and privatisation in and of education in its different forms.

Applicants must choose one course and only 25 places for each stream are available.  The scholarships cover  visa, travel, accommodation, tuition fees and a subsistence allowance
